I'm actually glad this series is over with. I found myself skipping through the pages halfway through just to hurry up and get to the good part which really never came. In fact, Harley and Kayo reminded me to much of JY and Nixon's characters. I mean really they both had parent issues both had singing careers. Both were tied up with terrible dudes that they didn't know why and couldn't leave only to be swooned away. They both took their men away from their current miserable boos. Just too many similarities. By part three I was beyond tired and bored. So glad this series ended.
I thought the situation with DB was going to go down with a bang but it just was over before it could even start to get good. Kind of felt let down with this one but it was okay to read along with the relationships between the characters. I thought the situation with the father was over the top and Juelz as well, they did more with those then they did with Derrick. Cool read but nothing to really read again.
As usually another story written by KC that I really enjoyed reading. Just like most of her male characters DB and Kayo lived up to the hype and are added to the book baes. I loved how protective they were of the women in their lives and tolerated no BS from no one. I also loved that Harlee and Essence became friends and how the women just click even with the drama around them. I am wondering if there is going to be a spinoff again with Dre and his little girlfriend that he won't be faithful to but he doesn't want anyone to have either. I kinda felt like there was a set up for their story to be told. I could be wrong but that little part had me a little curious about his/their story. In any case great job Ms KC Mills. Looking forward to more from you.
I had to review this book. I loved both couples but my fav is Harlee and Kayo. DB kept me laughing. I loved both Lane men's honesty. I love the fact the author made Kayo a loyal dude and all about his relationships. I'm so tired of reading all these stories where the dudes cheat and the women keep being stupid over them. This was a breath of fresh air. It was different and I'm glad I found it. Big ups to Kayo and DB for being loyal to their mates. Also, I love that Kayo didn't allow an ex to come in between his new relationship. I found it funny that he pretty much killed off anyone that was a problem with no hesitation. Overall I loved each book.
This was a great ending in a great series I love kayo and harlee so happy they got their happy ending
You have done it yet again... I am convinced each time you release a book it covers suspense, love, scandal, riches and royalty. And not to mention that THUG we all can love... All I'm saying is keep doing what you at doing👍🏾
What can you say those Lane men handle all problems and go hard for their family. Someone is always watching and waiting for an easy come up but hey not every ride is free. I am here for Harley and Essence yes loved it
